Our chess program is designed to spark curiosity, confidence, and a lasting appreciation for the game. Lessons are highly interactive, combining guided exploration, strategic thinking, and collaborative problem-solving so students learn by doing, not just listening. Players are encouraged to think critically, explain their ideas, and learn from both successes and mistakes. Each student will receive premium access to ChessKid or Lichess, providing a safe and engaging online environment filled with lessons, puzzles, and challenges that support growth at every level. As the program progresses, we look forward to developing a competitive chess team that will represent DGK with pride in local, state, and national tournaments.
